Diversity and Structure of Nesting Birds in the Coastal Riparian Zones of Great Kabylia in Algeria

The study of the nesting birds coastal riparian zones in Great Kabylia Algeria, allowed us to identify 45 species birds, belonging 12 orders and 26 families. richest site terms is Takdempt (31 species). lowest diversity noted at level Boudouaou wadi with 16 species. values Shannon-Weaver index (H') for all sites are quite high (≥3 bits). Concerning global abundance avifauna, that represents highest centesimal frequency (20.87 %) this due presence a colony Bubulcus ibis (Linnaeus, 1758). bird communities sampled not identical, but degree similarity, general, (≥ 50 %). main factors controlling structure avifauna represented by vertical horizontal vegetation
